Velancia Threads PCL Ellipse Press Cog 18G/100mm, W Cannula
Originally an FDA approved surgical suture material, PCL (Polycaprolactone) is widely used in mesothreads production worldwide. This material stimulates the collagen formation of types 1 and 3, and the mesothreads made from PCL are able to correct signs of facial ageing, such as volume loss and facial oval weakness, providing an immediate long-lasting natural effect.
PCL biodegradation occurs during hydrolysis during the period of time from 18 to 24 months, while the aesthetic duration of the results remains for 2-4 years.
PCL mesothreads are softer than PDO and PLLA, and last longer than any other thread.
Ellipse Cog includes 3 types of meso threads: Shark, Whale, and Wave. A distinctive combination of contrasting notches on an ellipse-shaped thread.
Compared to the standard round shape COG threads, an ellipse meso thread provides advantages in use, as it fits perfectly inside a cannula creating a more controlled application.
The flat-shaped meso thread implements higher adhesion proerties and potentiates collagen deposition leading to faster regeneration of soft tissue. E.g. PDO COG threads lifting recovery lasts up to 7 days, compared to 2-3 days of a full recovery after procedures with Ellipse COG threads.
